About Us

Located in Loveland, Colorado, only a few miles west of Interstate 25 off Highway 34 (also known as Eisenhower Boulevard), Advanced Foot and Ankle Care treats patients from the Northern Colorado and Wyoming areas.

Born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin, Dr. Peter Schultz has been providing podiatric care to the Northern Colorado region since 1985. He favors a conservative approach to treating most foot and ankle conditions, recommending surgery only when it's necessary or when the patient prefers that course of treatment. His longtime patients understand and appreciate his greater interest in meeting treatment goals than in advocating immediate surgery.

Dr. Schultz graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor of science degree and then entered a master's program in biology. During the first year of his master's program, he was accepted into the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine, which he enrolled in and graduated from in 1983. He then went on to post-graduate training with emphasis on biomechanics and surgery.

Dr. Schultz served in the U.S. Army for three years and was stationed at Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, California, where he served in the medical corps. In 1985, Dr. Schultz co-founded the Loveland Foot and Ankle Clinic with Dr. Michael J. Burns; he has spent the past 25 years providing foot and ankle care in Northern Colorado and Wyoming. He also co-founded the Foot and Ankle Wound Care Center at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
