Custom Orthotics

The orthotics we recommend are designed to improve the overall function and support of your feet. In most cases this improved support and functional control will help decrease or eliminate painful symptoms.

We use the highest quality materials in the fabrication of the orthotics we provide. Though many different types of materials can be used to make orthotics, Dr. Schultz usually recommends the "sport orthotic" as it is made of polypropylene and is not only guaranteed for life against breakage, but is also easily adjustable. This allows us to adjust the orthotic over time as your feet change, so that we can make the orthotics last 10 to 15 years or more. None of the other materials have the advantages of the polypropylene, but they can still provide a comfortable and useful orthotic device. Other materials include graphite, EVA, polydur, cork and leather, subortholene, reinforced fiberglass, korex, plastizote, and others.

Depending on your needs and preferences, we can fabricate an orthotic specifically designed for you. We can make orthotics to fit your regular shoes, tennis shoes, golf shoes, work boots, or even dress shoes and sandals.

We recommend orthotics for anyone, at any age past four or five, who has a condition that would normally respond to orthotic therapy. Special types of orthotics for kids can treat an existing problem and prevent any number of problems associated with abnormal foot function.

Orthotics for seniors are also available. These orthotics are made of a thin polypropylene and have compressible EVA arch fill and soft top covers for increased comfort.

Advanced Foot & Ankle Care custom orthotics are unsurpassed in quality and often cost less than popular commercial arch supports.

If you have foot or ankle pain that would respond well to orthotics, or have orthotics that need to be replaced or refurbished, call Advanced Foot & Ankle Care and get the quality orthotics you deserve.
