Flatfoot

Flatfoot is a condition where the arch is lower than normal due to soft tissue or osseous origins. It can be present in children or adults, and can be either painful or painless.

Flatfoot can often be treated with conservative measures such as a properly fitted custom orthotic, but when caused by bone abnormality, surgery may be necessary. A podiatrist can diagnose the causes of the flatfoot condition and recommend the appropriate treatment for this condition.
